"I was born in Copenhagen, Denmark and have Pakistani heritage. I have studied Italian and History of Art at Copenhagen University. In 2011 I moved to London with my family.

 

With the benefit of an intercultural background, I have defined ways in which to combine different styles of art, creating new aesthetics, and new forms of expression that lead the viewer to reflect and consider art in new and diverse ways. I constantly seek to expand my understanding of art in ways that go beyond just the aesthetic aspect. I strive to create works that invite reflection and dialogue.

 

Some of my paintings represent a juxtaposition of Calligraphy and Western Art forms - in an effort to challenge the audience’s understanding of artistic and cultural categorization, thereby introducing new ways of appreciating intercultural art.

My artwork incorporates different techniques and tools, from brush to palette knife. I love to paint contemporary and modern styles and anything occurring in its natural setting though I also love to try unique styles of layering and mark making techniques in my work. I paint from instinct and intuition and like to keep my artwork spontaneous and fun. With the benefit of an intercultural background, I have defined ways in which to combine different styles of art, creating new aesthetics, as well as new forms of expression that lead the viewer to reflect and consider art in new and diverse ways. I constantly seek to expand my understanding of art in ways that go beyond just the aesthetic aspect – and in my art, I strive to create works that invite dialogue and reflection.

 

I love working with bold colours. For me the bright colours generates a radiant energy and positively effect the mood off the viewer."
